The King Alfred School Academy Year 11 student Finley Davis is making fantastic progress in the world of rugby, excelling along with the best young talent in Britain.

He has just starred for Bristol Bears Academy in the week long National Academies U16s Festival at Wellington College, Berkshire - and was the only selected representative from his team the Weston Hornets.

His call up came after sensational performances for Weston Hornets and the county team.

Fin’s team played Newcastle Falcons, Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints over the course of five days as well as taking part in a joint training session with Leicester Tigers.

He was also given tips by some of the country’s top coaches.

Bristol Bears Academy will go on to select ten of the thirty people to be involved and part of their academy for next year. It was described as a 'higher intensity' level of rugby which opened up possibilities for the future.

Fin Davis "I didn't really expect such an opportunity and was fairly surprised at the offer. It was a good experience and I am looking forward for what is next to come."
