Religious Studies Curriculum Overview
Religious Studies is a subject which explores the multi-faith community which makes up our lives in Britain today. As well as studying the major religions, which include Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and Sikhism, students explore some important moral issues from animal rights to crime and punishment.
The aim of studying religion and ethical issues is to promote students’ moral, social and cultural development and understanding and to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences that will characterise their future.
