Inspirational Somerset student assists with first aid emergencies and gains prestigious award

Year 9 student James Wood, has been awarded a rare prestigious award with 290 Air Training Corps. 

James was awarded the Wing Commanders Commendation for Meritorious Conduct for First Aid.
James correctly diagnosed that his grandad was having a heart attack, and then assisted his mum when she was suffering from a panic attack.

Principal Nathan Jenkins said “James has acted with incredible maturity and he deserves his award. He is exactly what the school is all about.”
